Skólamatur supports the professional development of the staff and organises courses every fall. There, the staff receives training and an introduction to the various aspects of the job. With this, each employee can grow and prosper in their work and better cope with what is present in their work at any given time.
Information and education policy
It is Skólamatur’s policy to offer its employees a good range of courses and training to strengthen employees both in their work and in their personal lives and to promote well-being at work.
Work-related education and courses strengthen employees in their work, provide them with increased knowledge to carry out their work in the best possible way, provide insight into innovations and new ways and make employees safer in their work and better equipped to deal with new projects and changes. In this way, education helps employees develop and develop at work and creates increased well-being at work. Skólamatur also offers education that strengthens employees personally, increases the experience and knowledge of employees in general and is useful to them in their daily lives. The aim of Skólamatur’s educational strategy is also to increase general interest and promote a positive attitude towards lifelong learning.
Study week is held once a year before school starts, and the LearnCove educational system has been put into use. It contributes to the continuing education of employees throughout the year.
Skólamatur has had a good collaboration with MSS regarding the company’s educational issues. It is Skólamatur’s policy to offer targeted training to employees every year. Courses are based on both an analysis of the company’s educational needs, initiated by management, and on the ideas and requests of employees. MSS also offers a wide range of courses and advice available to Skólamatur employees. The company is ready to support its employees to participate in constructive courses and counselling on its behalf.
