Registration for meal subscription begins on Thursday, 22 August 2024

This winter, school meals (lunch) for primary school students will be free of charge for all students. In order for this change
to be implemented in the best possible way, parents and guardians now have to register each student for a meal
subscription if they want to receive the school meals. Registering students for a subscription is necessary to ensure meals
for everyone who wants them, and to keep food waste to a minimum.

Useful information for the school year 2024-2025:

• Registration for the meal subscription begins on Thursday, 22 August 2024 at www.skolamatur.is.
• Meal subscriptions are renewed monthly throughout the school year if they are not specifically cancelled.
• If a meal subscription is not used for a whole month, it is closed, and you have to reapply for it.
• Students receive a special school number that they use when meals are delivered in the school cafeteria.
• Special meals due to allergies or intolerances are provided upon delivery of a medical certificate. There is no need to
submit a new medical certificate between school years, unless there has been a change in allergies or intolerances.
• The lunch service starts on the first day of class.
